May 19, 1952 – May 15, 2017
On May 15, 2017 a very amazing life has come to an end. Anneliese Drexel-Yarosky, passed comfortably at KGH with her family present to see her depart
Anna was born May 19, 1952 in the German village of Mittelbronn to her parents Wilhelm and Erna (Köger) Drexel. Her childhood was spent on the family farm with her two sisters Margot and Gerda. Later in life Anna would journey to Israel where she would discover her passion for pottery and her loving husband Moshe Yaroksy, but it wasn’t until after returning to Germany to study her craft that the two would devote their lives to each other. She then returned to Israel and together they would raise a family in a farming village there. It was when they visited British Columbia in ’96 that the family had decided to make their home in Kelowna. In ’97 they had made the move and since then Anna became very well appreciated in the community. She displayed her passion and pottery at the Kelowna Farmer’s Market. Her love and excitement would be shared in her volunteering at KGH, with her hiking group, and amongst her many friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Moshe, her youngest daughter Avital, her eldest daughter Lior, and her granddaughter Mika. Anna’s life was a full one as she never slowed down; she traveled, experienced and loved more in her time than most ever could. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family.
It was Anna’s wish to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held. Please await contact from the family for details.
